Why this keen footballer is dribbling from the Gold Coast to Sydney

Dribbling a soccer ball from the Gold Coast to Sydney is no easy task, but it's a challenge Fran Hurndall is set to compete.
The former Arsenal women's team footballer will travel more than 1000km over the next 32 days, with her final destination being the FIFA Women's World Cup final.
She is hoping to raise $500,000 for Women Sport Australia.

"I'll be dribbling a soccer ball the entire way and running and raising money for women's sport," Hurndall said.
"(I will) have to keep my mind very active concentrating on dribbling.
"I'm not running in soccer boots, I'll be running in normal running shoes."
The 31-year-old has been training for the challenge for the past few months, running 32 kilometres a day.

Originally from Manchester, Hurndall played in the Arsenal youth academy and growing grassroots sport for females has long been a passion project.
"That FIFA feeling is really starting to spread. It really just brings people together," she said.
She left from Broadbeach this morning.
