The daughter of an elderly Adelaide couple has been charged with two counts of murder over their alleged poisoning deaths.
Raelene Polymiadis was arrested in Craigmore this morning and has since been charged with two counts of murder over the deaths of her elderly parents Brenda and Lynton Anderson.
Detectives allege the 62-year-old aged care worker deliberately administered medication to the 94-year-olds on separate occasions - one year apart.
Toxicology reports revealed Brenda and Lynton both had a suspicious amount of prescription medication in their systems.
Police allege Brenda was in Noarlunga Hospital on March 12 last year when her condition suddenly deteriorated.
She was taken to Flinders Medical Centre, where she died on March 16.
In April this year, a carer found Lynton unconscious at his Hackham home where he was taken to Flinders Medical Centre and died.
Polymiadis will be refused police bail and is likely to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.
