WhatsApp suffers global outage over 'connectivity issues'

Meta-owned WhatsApp has undergone a global outage this morning.
Over 150,000 users reported issues with loading the app and messages not sending.
Meta issued a statement saying it was working to resolve connectivity issues.
The WhatsApp Twitter account shortly after 7am claimed the issue was resolved and wished users "happy chatting".
The cause of the outage has not been specified.
